SRC - Skills RecognitionClassification
The SRC program was formed for a number of reasons:
• To ensure that welding trainees add value to the market by providing practical experience to complement their theoretical training before undertaking work as an accredited welder.
• To introduce an industry wide recognised classification system for welders and welding procedures. By providing an industry wide classification of welders, shortfalls in skills can be identified and rectified through the provision of further training.
