- How do I enrol for a course?

As numbers for each course are limted, to ensure a place, enrolments should be made at least 2 - 3 weeks before commencement.
Please Note: Confirmation of a booking will only will only occur upon full payment of the course fee. |

- What are the class times?
|
Normal training hours are 8.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
Thursday evening sessions for welding training are also available from 4.30pm to 9.00pm. |

All trainees must wear steel capped boots, and welding trainees also need to ensure that they wear suitable cotton clothing with long sleeves and long trousers.
All other safety equipment is supplied by XLT and can be purchased if preferred. |

- What are the meal arrangements?
|
| Tea and coffee is provided. A fridge and microwave oven are available in the lunch room. A lunch van also visits our premises daily at 10.00am and 12 noon. |

XLT is located at 33 Howson Way, Bibra Lake. You can view our location map to see where we are.
Parking is available on-site at our premises or public transport is available by express bus from Perth and regular bus services from Fremantle and Rockingham. |

- Are there any pre-requisites?
|
Yes there are pre-requisites.
Students attending training must:
| • Have the necessary levels of health and fitness required to safely carry out the work and operate the equipment. |
| • Be able to speak and write English to a basic level. |
| • Be 18 years or over to apply for a National Certificate of Competency from WorkSafe WA. |
| • Be willing to attend skills / knowledge assessments. |

- When do I get my certificate?
|
| Certificates / Statements of Attainment are issued on successful completion of all courses. |

- What happens if I want to cancel?
|
A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to obtain a full refund. Alternatively, students can enrol in a future course.
All cancellations incur a fee of 25% of the full course fee. |

- Are the qualifications recognised?
|
All of XLT's courses are accredited with the Training Accreditation Council of Western Australia and comply with the relevant Australian guidelines and standards.
The qualifications issued are recognised Australia-wide, and in some cases, world-wide.
All of our courses are designed to enable individuals and companies to comply with legislative requirements and to meet with current Australian Standards. |

- Can XLT help with employment?
|
| XLT is regularly approached by companies looking for new staff. Although we are unable to guarantee employment for trainees attending XLT, we are able to make referrals, where appropriate. |

- How many can I group book?
|
Our maximum group number for a construction course is generally 8.
With 26 welding bays available, we are able to handle larger group sizes for all types of welding training. |

- How much notice is required?
|
| Normally a week's notice is required for a group booking, and as numbers for each course are limted, to ensure a place, individual enrolments should be made at least 2 - 3 weeks before commencement. |
